Weekend Trip

We have been to the biltmore before but this time it was all decked out for the holidays. This was followed by a short hike the next day in the smokies where Ella walked almost all the way there (2.5 mi).

Thanksgiving with Santa

We travelled to the coast of Georgia for a visit to Granny's. The Friday after Turkey Day we went to a tree lightening where Santa made an appearance. Ella was being very brave in this picture but candy canes sure do help.

A Short Stop in Minnesota

We were up to Duluth in early November for G.G.s 90th birthday party. The party was very fun and we had a nice visit with the family. Thanks for inviting us G.G. and to everyone for organizing the event.

Next was a short stop in Minneapolis to visit my family. We made a trip to Legoland in MOA to make and race cars. We enjoyed our stay. Ella did some light cleaning to make sure we were not messy house guests.

Halloween 2007

We went with a B*arbie Dancing Princess this year. Ballet lessons come in handy for a princess who needs to curtsey. In addition to the Halloween trick or treating there was a fun Fall festival at the school the week before where the kids played games and won treats!

The little chef and the hungry westie

Guess who made us lunch on Saturday? Guess who really likes peanut butter and jelly? I had to put this one up due to the gienormous cuteness factor. These two have a sibling rivalry but food brings them together.

Ballerina

As noted before E started dance class at school. She loves this activity and her teacher was impressed that she remembers the moves to dances from the week before. We are happy with the new school and E will start another extracurricular, spanish class, soon. Watch out Dora.

Labor Day Camping

We were camping for the SECOND time this year on Labor Day weekend. We hiked aaalot and had a little downpour but still managed to have some fun.

First Day of School

Ella started a new preschool (Gardner School) on Monday. She looks great in her new uniform. The school was just built so everything is brand new and her new teacher is Ms. Jillian. Ella loves wearing the cute clothes and playing with all the new friends. She is in the four year old classroom so we are ecstatic for the new learning environment. Ella will also be starting dance class later this month through the school's enrinchment program so keep your eyes peeled for Ella the ballerina in a few weeks.

Just a note: I knew Ella would love this new school when yesterday morning after meeting Ms. Julllian, coloring with me and having a drink of water she told me, "You can go now". I knew I would love the school when on the way out the door I was handed a chocolate chocolate chip muffin. You had me at chocolate.

Splash In The Pool!

Ella is staying cool in the hot temperatures of August by going to the pool in our subdivision as much as possible. Her dad is her swim coach and last weekend they went swimming four times! She should be ready for the 2008 Summer Olympics at this rate.

Volunteer of the Year

It only took me 12 years to earn another Volunteer of the Year award and this is because it took me that long to find an organization where I love to volunteer. Gilda's Club Nashville had their ninth birthday party on August 3rd and I was awarded one of their volunteer of the year awards! Keith and Ella attended the dinner with me and we had a great time.

A Trip To See The Penguins

We took a day trip to Chatanooga, TN to the aquarium. We enjoyed all the exhibits including the new arrivals, penguins!

Tiger Revisited

With the birth of Tiger's first child Sam I thought I should post the picture taken mid August when we attended the practice rounds of the 2006 PGA championship in Meidinah, IL that Tiger would go on to win. At the time I predicted that after smiling at Ella (see pic), Tiger was sure to want a child. Hmm, give or take (more give) a couple of weeks and bingo, Tiger has a daughter!

Minnesota Trip July 2007

Thanks to all the family and friends for the fun time we had on our 2nd annual summer trip to Minnesota. Everyone was able to see how Ella has grown and the major comment was that her hair was so long! We are all jealous of the natural highlights! Thanks to Gordy and Barb for putting us up, all the friends we had breakfast, lunch and dinners with, the D'Cunha's for a great party and the Hansons for a pleasant stay at the cabin. We had a fun time.

Trip to Athens, GA

We just got around to posting pictures of Ella strawberry picking in Athens, GA in May. A short weekend trip to visit our friends Rachael and Justin. As you may have noticed the theme of this blog seems to be Ella and it is. She is way too photogenic not to share.

Memorial Day Vacation

We had a great time in the Smokies on our Memorial Day Vacation trip! We camped out in the park for 3 days. A first for both Caroline and Ella.

Then on to a beautiful cabin in Gatlinsburg, TN that had an amazing view (see pic).

The last stop was in Asheville, NC to tour the Biltmore estate, gardens, winery and farm.

Welcome to My Blog

Fun in St. Simon's at Mom's wedding on Thanksgiving weekend. Ella and Joey stole the show!
