An amazing pizza experience

We decided to order a pizza on a recent Packer Sunday.
On our box it read "Your pizza experience was managed by Christ". Who knew he worked for P*apa J's.

Train Rides and Summer Trips

Life is not as exciting compared with July so here are some vacation pictures from our trip to MN. Ella and Sean had alot of fun riding the train in Duluth. They were special VIPs with Papa around.

Fun at the cabin with the cousins...

Another exciting stop was at split rock light house along the North Shore.

Neighborhood Pool Party

Sean was a little unsure about his first trip to the pool. Sure he loves his bath but usually he's inside and can feel from one end of the tub to another. By the way "where are the bath toys?"

Visit to Mammoth Caves

A weekend trip to Mammoth Caves and Louisville, KY proved to be a fun venture. Mammoth Caves has the largest underground cavern system around and we took two different tours of it. One on the way to Louisville and one on the way back home. In Louisville we hit the Starbucks by the hotel for Chai and the Louisville Zoo. The kids enjoyed the animals and the little train that encircles the zoo. Ella really like the underground caves and her training as an avid hiker paid off for mom and dad.

A section of Mammoth caves from our first tour at the old entrance.

Many years ago you could have your name smoked on the ceilings of the caves. Now this would be considered graffiti.

At the Louisville Zoo where we saw a different type of lemur than at the Minnesota Zoo. There were alot of sculptures to sit on, as well.

Last Day was a visit to the new entrance that included a stop at the Drapery room and Niagra Falls, one of the few spots with stalagtites and stalagmites.

Camping is the life

Ella and Keith are avid campers. They will hike out 4 miles to the middle of nowhere in Smoky Mt. National Park and spend the night without a bathroom. Can you imagine, I try not to.

These are pics from the last trip in June.

Mister Accepts the Baby as one of us!

It was a monumental moment when Mister Mackye brought his squirrel up to Sean to throw for him. If you have a pet you might understand what this meant to me when it happened. The two had really stayed out of each other's way. Mackye saw Sean and thought "Oh great, I know how this goes. Less attention for me!". Sean loves the dog dishes, a mini pool! Recently, they have started to pay attention to each other in a friendly boy and his dog way. How cute.

New Addition

I know that it is sinful to covet something as I do this vacuum cleaner but this is the best piece of cleaning equipment I have ever owned. The first time I used it so much dirt came out of my carpets I had to empty the filter every 5 minutes. My carpets were so clean I basked in this fact for the rest of the day, it made me so happy. I decided to make the investment as a reward to myself after finishing my class, an idea given to me by a friend who bought herself a piano in the same scenario.

Trip to Kentucky

One stop in Kentucky was Abe Lincoln's birthplace. This was in fact our second visit but we had time to spare and only Keith remembered our first visit.

The Graduate

Ella had her pre-k graduation in May. Off to kindergarten in August.

With her teacher, we will miss everyone!

Ella and Sean did well in their end of the year performances. They are great singers and clappers!

Sean's Walks- 10 mths old

Sean started walking a couple of weeks ago. If he wants to get somewhere fast he still crawls but he does enjoy having the range of motility on hand for any situation.

Sean waves

Last night, Sean waved to Keith while sitting on my lab. At first I just thought he was excited but then I realized he was actually trying to get Keith's attention. An older girl in class (11 months) is teaching him all these interesting new things and he is reaching these major milestones everyday.

Update on the Prince

Currently we have an almost 9 month old (2 days shy). Sean has turned out to be quite the little guy. He is so friendly, outgoing, loves his mommy, sissy and daddy. Eating solid foods, sometimes we can't fill him up! He has grown tired of his toys and likes the dog's food dishes, the HD TV, the stereo system and periodicals instead. Last week a tooth came in, finally! In addition the little guy has just started free standing and if you turn on music he will do quite the jig for you. Until I can post the official 9 month photos here you go! Now where did that camera go! Sean!

The Princess Birthday Party

I need life to slow down a millisecond more so I can upload some pictures from the whirlwind. The princess turned five in February along with 4 other little friends. Festivities were planned by 4 alpha moms and myself. Lisa made a fabulous card for the occasion, one of the mom's is a caterer at a hotel so this catered party was more economical then last year's at Chuck E Cheese. There was dress up, cupcake decorating, dancing and a build your own sundae bar. Oh, did I mention the build your own sundae bar (that was my personal fave). We donated gifts to MY charity (see volunteer of the year).

Life is very busy, isn't it? We were blessed to have alot of family make their way to Tennessee for Sean's baptism. More pictures to come but this is a start.
